Static DWS Machine
What it does:
A Static DWS system is designed to measure the dimensions (length/width/height) and weight of stationary parcels or cargo items with high precision, typically for logistics auditing, shipping cost calculation, and inventory management.
How it works:
Measurement Process: Uses fixed sensors (e.g., laser scanners, cameras, or infrared sensors) to capture dimensions while the item is placed on a static weighing platform.Data Integration: Combines weight data from scales with volumetric measurements to calculate dimensional weight (used for shipping billing).
Output: Generates labels or transmits data to warehouse/transport management systems (WMS/TMS).
When it's used:
Freight Auditing: Verify parcel data before shipping to prevent billing errors.
Warehouse Receiving: Measure inbound/outbound goods for inventory records.
Low-throughput Facilities: Ideal for small warehouses or postal centers without high-speed conveyor systems.
